As a resident of Melrose what you think makes a difference. Share your thoughts on the arts!
Your participation is needed to make this survey successful.
The survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes. There is a progress bar at the bottom of the page. Topics cover your personal interests in arts, culture and entertainment and interest in events happening locally. Questions also ask your opinion of the role of the arts in public education.
If you are a parent of children in the Melrose schools, you will be directed to some specific questions regarding your child’s experience in art and music education.
Findings from this survey will be summarized and reported to the City of Melrose Mayor’s Office, Melrose Cultural Council, Melrose Public Schools, and local arts groups. Data can be used for community based arts initiatives, grants, partnership opportunities, and for curriculum and strategic planning for the Melrose Public Schools.
The Melrose Arts Survey is based upon a toolkit developed by the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network’s, A Community Audit for Arts Education: Better Skills, Better Schools, Better Communities. It is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
At the end of the survey you have the opportunity to request more information about a new online arts, culture and live entertainment calendar for the city. You can also be entered in a raffle for iTunes™ and Converse® Sneaker gift cards.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas on arts and cultural activity in the community and arts education in Melrose!
